Bulgari, founded in Rome in 1884 by Greek-born silversmith Sotirio Bulgari, is known above all for its fine jewelry, but since the 1970s it has also developed its own watchmaking division, today with in-house movement manufacturing in Le Sentier, Switzerland (built up largely through the acquisitions of Daniel Roth and Gérald Genta in the early 2000s).
