Patek Philippe was founded in 1839 in Geneva. The Twenty~4 line was born in 1999 as a sport-elegant watch aimed specifically at women: a rectangular Art Deco-tinged case, an integrated articulated bracelet, and a quartz movement, conceived to be worn '24 hours a day'. It became one of the manufacture's best-selling collections for nearly two decades without ever carrying a mechanical movement.
In 2018, Patek Philippe introduced the Twenty~4 Automatic, the collection's first mechanical version in its history, switching to a round case with applied gold Arabic numerals. The in-house automatic calibre 26-330 S C, with 215 parts and 30 jewels, carries the Patek Philippe Seal, the manufacture's own quality standard adopted after the Geneva Seal was retired in 2009.
