The Aquanaut was born in 1997 as Patek Philippe's answer for a younger, more relaxed audience than the Nautilus, defined by its octagonal case with rounded edges and composite strap. The Chronograph version, reference 5968A-001, adds a flyback chronograph complication to that sporty formula — one of the functions most prized by technically minded collectors.
