History

Oris was founded in 1904 in Hölstein, Switzerland. In 1965 it introduced the Oris Divers, one of its most recognizable models: a 36mm case with a unidirectional rotating bezel, luminescent hands and indexes, and an in-house movement, sold in variants marked 'Waterproof' or 'Super' on the dial. The model stayed in the catalog, with variations, until at least 1979.

After more than three decades out of production, a Dutch Oris employee proposed reviving the original 1965 design with its characteristic color-inverted numerals, and the brand relaunched it in 2015 as the Divers Sixty-Five, coinciding with the model's 50th anniversary. The reissue stayed faithful to the original, with the only meaningful change being the case size, enlarged from 36mm to 40mm.

This Date version runs the automatic caliber 733-1, based on a Sellita SW 220-1 movement, with 41 hours of power reserve and 10 bar (100 meters) of water resistance — well below the 300 meters of the technical-dive-oriented Aquis Date already in Cazador. [UNVERIFIED: we do not confirm the exact introduction year of this specific graduated-green-dial combination within the current catalog]. This is the third Oris reference we're adding to Cazador's catalog, after the Aquis Date and the Big Crown ProPilot Date.
