Cazador

Privacy policy

Last updated: July 20, 2026

This is a reasonable draft, pending legal review before going live. Cazador processes the minimum data necessary and hosts everything on EU infrastructure.

Data controller

[PENDING: legal entity name, tax ID and registered address — to complete before publishing]. Contact: [PENDING: operational email, e.g. privacy@cazador.watch].

What data we process

Account data (email, access credentials) when you register.

Your collection data (references, condition, purchase price if provided) if you use the tracker.

Hunt search criteria (references, max price, geography) if you activate a search.

Payment data: handled directly by Stripe — Cazador never stores card numbers.

Minimal technical service data (IP, user agent) for security and abuse prevention, with no unnecessary third-party trackers.

Legal basis and purpose

Contract performance: delivering the encyclopedia, tracker and agent services you requested.

Legitimate interest: security and abuse/fraud prevention.

Consent: marketing communications, only if you explicitly opt in.

Where your data lives

All infrastructure (application and database) resides in the EU (Vercel, Frankfurt region; Neon, eu-central-1 region). We do not transfer data outside the EEA unless legally required.

Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction and objection by writing to [PENDING: contact email]. You may also file a complaint with your national data protection authority.

Retention

We retain your data while your account is active, plus any additional period required by legal (tax, accounting) obligations after closure.
